Eucharistic AdorationOn the First Friday of each month the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance. Finance CouncilAdvises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. Offertory CountersA group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month. Parish Pastoral CouncilThe PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Agatha Parish. Knights of Peter ClaverThis fraternal organization is a division of KPC Inc.which supports Catholic parishes, national and international charitable projects. This ministry meets monthly. Membership is open to any man or woman who is a practicing Catholic and who have made their 1st Communion. Contact Grand Knight Robert Joiner or Grand Lady Nedra Posey for more information. Stations of the CrossHeld Friday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Church during Lent. UsherVolunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection. |
S.H.A.R.E.St. Agatha Parish provides a weekly bag meal each Saturday for those in need in the community. On Christmas Day a sit down dinner is served in the Parish Hall for the needy, homeless and lonely in the Los Angeles area. If you would like to volunteer to promote, provide funds or food, prepare or serve on Saturdays or participate in the Christmas Day Dinner contact the Parish Office at 323 935-8127.
Wednesday Night Prayer GroupJoin us Wednesday night in the Parish Hall to read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, Liturgy of the Hours (books provided for new members), and prayer (intercessory, and alternating Rosary or Divine Mercy). Altar ServerBoys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy. Baptism PreparationPreparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. Liturgical Linen ServiceResponsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens. Faith Formation/RCIAPreparing children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. Furthering their Catholic journey through Confirmation.
