Music Ministry

Join together in song, under the talented direction of our choir director, Eddie Hilley. Rehearsals on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 pm in the Church. Sing at 10:00am and 5:30 pm Sunday Mass, as your schedule allows. Contact Eddie Hilley at or calling 323-935-2853.


Eucharistic Adoration

On the First Friday of each month the Blessed Sacrament is exposed and adored by volunteers who sign up for one hour or more to pray before the Lord Jesus present in the Monstrance.

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Agatha Parish.

Knights of Peter Claver

This fraternal organization is a division of KPC Inc.which supports Catholic parishes, national and international charitable projects.  This ministry meets monthly.  Membership is open to any man or woman who is a practicing Catholic and who have made their 1st Communion.  Contact Grand Knight Robert Joiner or Grand Lady Nedra Posey for more information.

Stations of the Cross

Held Friday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Church during Lent.


Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.


St. Agatha Parish provides a weekly bag meal each Saturday for those in need in the community. On Christmas Day a sit down dinner is served in the Parish Hall for the needy, homeless and lonely in the Los Angeles area. If you would like to volunteer to promote, provide funds or food, prepare or serve on Saturdays or participate in the Christmas Day Dinner contact the Parish Office at 323 935-8127.


Wednesday Night Prayer Group

Join us Wednesday night in the Parish Hall to read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, Liturgy of the Hours (books provided for new members), and prayer (intercessory, and alternating Rosary or Divine Mercy).

Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith. For information and appointments contact the Parish Office at 323 935-8127.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Ministers of the Word

Individuals who proclaims the Scriptures at Mass and other services.  For interest in becomming a Minister of the Word, contact Sandra Domingue at 323-935-8217.

Liturgical Linen Service

Responsible for the preparation and care of the altar linens. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.

Faith Formation/RCIA

Preparing children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. Furthering their Catholic journey through Confirmation.

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.  Cathecist are always needed as well as sponsors.  Contact Teresa Amezcua at
